Industrial Overhead Door and Dock Technician
Heavy-duty door technician
About Overhead Door Co of Vancouver
With over 60 years in business, Overhead Door Co of Vancouver (OHD) has installed and serviced every type of overhead door, loading dock, and gate across Western Canada. We're a family-owned and operated company, and we hold the only distributorship of Overhead Door™ products in BC — part of the original company that created, named, and continues to lead the industry.
We do safe. We do quality. We do it right. We are family. Our team lives those values every day, and it's why our average tenure is over 15 years.
The Role
The Industrial Door & Dock Technician is a senior, hands-on role leading service and repair on rolling steel doors, sectional doors, high-speed doors, and loading dock equipment (levelers, restraints, seals, shelters). You'll also work on the full range of other doors and gates we service.
This is a lead-level position. You'll be paired with junior technicians on more complex jobs and are expected to mentor them in the field — teaching diagnostic approach, safety practices, and quality standards.
